Absolutely amazing...We have heard of heroes during this time of our most darkest hours but we have not heard of the boat lifts..I am so proud of you all!!
ReplyDeleteArlene Arnold
So glad that the "little bit of hero" came out of so many that day. Thanks for all you did to rescue so many.
ReplyDeleteAMEN may the Love of God still out shines anything the devil throws at us
DeleteThat made me cry.....amazing how we can be strong and be there for each other.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great story and so many unsung heroes who came together that day. The story should have made some headlines. God bless the USA and all who helped to rescue so many.
ReplyDeleteThe worst of times brings out the best in people.
ReplyDeleteGod bless all of the water hero's from 9-11-2001! You are all soldiers of God. Operation Boatlift should have been part of the 10 year reflection. A midst such terror and evil, bravery, humanity & love surpassed! God bless America & her unsung hero's, some true earth angels.
ReplyDeleteso many stories have come out on this 10th anniversary that we never heard, this story is amazing and I'm so glad to hear it and pass it on to everyone... with tears in my eyes I thank you...

What an uplifting story. It amazes me that this is the first time that I have seen this clip and saw the bravery and love of mankind from all of the boaters. It gave me such pride in our fellow Americans that I was moved to tears. It is beyond me this was not publized more. 500,000 people in less than 9 hours -- THAT IS SUCH A COMPLIMENT AND REFLECTS THE LOVE THAT HUMANS HAVE FOR ONE ANOTHER! God Bless each and everyone of you who helped so many people on that horrible day!

ReplyDeleteAmerican people are above all. We should use the same determination to now save this country from those that want to destroy our way of life.
NY people stepping up. It doesn't surprise me one bit. I love NY and
ReplyDeletewhen it came to 9/11 all NY came to the rescue....Thank God.
I was moved to tears as I sat here this morning watching this clip on these average every day people who without thought of the risks to themselves -were compelled by thier own humanity and nature to help- to be the hero. Thank You All
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful story, so proud to be an American, God Bless and thank you to all
ReplyDeleteThese were not just New Yorkers, not just Americans; these were human beings responding to other human beings regardless of race, religion, ethnic background, wealth or poverty, just people. We are a beautiful fabric of humanity, multicolored, diverse and texturally divine. In times such as this, we can stop looking at one another with our guard up, with our judgements in place. We can see each other as ourselves, worthy of protecting and preserving. Peace starts with this.
ReplyDeleteHow is it that this story has remained untold to the American public? It is too beautiful to not be told! 500,000 people rescued from Manhattan by God's army of angels here on earth!
ReplyDeleteOnly in America
ReplyDeleteWhat a story...and words to live by, "I did", instead of "I should of"...

ReplyDeleteAnd that is what makes the United States of America great! All different peoples coming together to help each other - and that is why the enemy has lost already.
ReplyDeleteThank God for the Heros and blessing us with them.
Thank you Thank you Thank you!!!! It shows that the power of love can overcome all. I saw this spray painted on the sidewalk one day and this is a perfect example of the message it was sending to whom ever stopped to read it. "When the love of power, turns to the power of love... You will know". I am Canadian and I am so proud of your country, and how you handled the blackest day in history.
ReplyDeleteI am so proud! This is a day when neither race, creed, color, financial status or other "isms" stopped us from banding together. No one asked any questions of these things as people got on those boats. This is a PERFECT example of how America SHOULD BE! God Bless all of you. Your bravery, love and care will NEVER be forgotten. I am so very proud of each of you and even more proud to be an american!!!! I can say without hestitation - I LOVE YOU ALL and I am inspired even more to do my part!
ReplyDeleteI'VE BEEN A BOATER ALL MY LIFE AND THIS BEHAVIOR IS INSTINCTUAL TO EVERYONE WHO OWNS A BOAT, WE JUST DO WHAT HAS TO BE DONE - BUT ON THIS SCALE, OMG WHAT A BLESSING TO BE USED TO HELP SO MANY PEOPLE OUT OF HARMS WAY. D'COOKIE IN VA BEACH
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome story of everyday folks stepping up and being super heroes! Thanks for showing us what we can do!
ReplyDeleteIt is truly wonderful to watch this film. I never knew it before. A. Sohn
ReplyDeleteI was truly moved to tears by this video. What love, compassion and heroism these sailors showed their fellow human beings. They are living angels. God bless them all. - V. Sloan
ReplyDeleteI had not heard this boat lift story before. It moved me to tears and helped me remember how everyone in the country came together. There was no income disparity that day. I just wish our Congress could take that same spirit of togetherness in how they run our country. Thank you to all who helped on 9/11 and in the days that followed. You helped bring out the best of our country.
ReplyDeleteA great story. Didn't know anything about this before. However, a correction on s comment that America is a "Christian" nation. No, it isn't. A majority of its people may claim they're Christian, but that doens't make America a "Christian" nation. After all, the Constitution states clearly that there will be no established religion. This is a diversion from this great story, but thsi truth needs to be stated.
ReplyDeleteTHANK GOD for the boat piolts that came forward You reward awaits you in heaven.
ReplyDeleteI want to thank all those who showed what true Americans are all about. mkj
ReplyDeleteI never even knew there was a boat lift. I guess that's something our great news media forgot to cover! It's a good thing that there are so many boats and people to help out!
ReplyDeleteI would love to express my Love and to Thank these Fine Men and Women who came together to save our fellow Americans who needed help on 9-11. But their efforts were far beyoung words because they did this by Boats. As a proud American I wish I could off been there to help but I am by asking each and everyone of you to past this on and that is my way of helping out. You all didnt think twice to help our Americans in need but you just did and these Boats poured out like the fresh spring rain. Thank You and May God Bless You All. Sincerely Dahlia -Harlingen,Tx
